Hey guys i put the motor back in the truck...and was going to start it but i can not get it to crank....it turns over but is not getting any fire.....It was running when i pulled the motor...I went over all my connections and i didn't leave anything unpluged....I need to go over my grounds and make sure that looks good....But i have noticed that there is a secruity light that comes on when i go to start.....Any ideas guys???????

The security light is suppose to flash it is part of the theft deterant system if it does not flash there is a big problem. Did you make sure it was getting the 12 volt feed to the distributor? You said there was no fire coming out of the distributor or out of the coil?

I got it...if you ever have one that want fire go to the crank sensor.....that is where the mag. pickup is at and it want fire if that thing is not working....so i got it going , it runs pretty dang good......

LOL, that was actually my first thought, but I talked myself out of saying anything since it ran before you took it apart.

well i talk to a buddy of mine and he said that he had to change a timing chain cover and oil pan before and it was running when he changed it but didn't after he put it back together and that is what was wrong with it......
