I had a blast! I'm tired though.

After we left ya'll in Hammond, we didn't even get a seat at Chili's before they were calling from work. I needed internet access to see if I could fix the problem but Chili's didn't have any. So, Craig, Keith (Darkhorse), and I left to go to my parent's house in St. Francisville. They ate and started rebuilding Craig's carburetor, while I started diagnosing and tracking down parts for work. I finally ate around 2:30AM and went to bed, only to be woke up around 6:30 once the parts got offshore.

Enough of my sob story, we think we got Craig's Blazer running a little leaner, and we know the secondaries are working now. So hopefully he doesn't have any problems on the way home.

I still can't believe that Brisket was from Sam's, I guess I need to renew my membership over there. I for one thoroughly enjoyed myself. And the sight of all those cool classic trucks cruising in a line through the country has definately fired me up to get mine out there, so that I don't have to ride in the back of the pack in the "Issues."

Keith & Bridget, Thank You very much for hosting the meet.

Postby mrmojo32 on Sun Aug 09, 2009 12:56 pm

Thanks to Keith and Bridget for hosting such a good time. The food was great and I wish I would have had 3rds. :) It was really great getting to meet everyone and this is only my 1st meet but it seems like a really great club.

It was really awesome seeing all those old trucks riding together. That was a 1st for me.

THanks again!

Got home around 5:15 (Not bad since I didn't leave
until 10am) Man I'm whooped bad. Long & hot ride
home to TN. Blazer is running fine, best I can figure
was around 17 mpg on the way home. The stories
I will be able to tell about this weekend are classics.

Thank you to Keith's family for hosting a awesome
event and for making me go buy some brisket, lol.

Thank you to Steve's family for putting me up, and
working on my new toy without getting much sleep.

Thank you to George for also putting me up / helping.

Thank you to the LCTC for making me feel welcome.
