When do you think you will have the truck completed? Do you have a date or time period you are shooting for?

I'm shooting for sometime this spring! I'd love to bring it to Goodguys/Nashville in May ! But more importantly, to have it done for our meets/shows !!! :)

Time to update the pics for Chris. Not much left to do now, most of the truck is in build primer and most of it will only need to be blocked once and it will be ready to seal and paint.

I will try to do better on keeping the pics coming Chris!

Last of the patch work on the outside of the cab. I replaced some small spots on the cab and the lower part of both drip rails.

Finished welding the interior back panel in and getting it blocked and ready to seal.

Image

Finished the bodywork on the back of the cab and primed with high build primer. Very little blocking is needed on this.

Firewall is finished and in build primer. One block on this and its finished and ready to paint.

Finished welding and blocking the filler plate Chris made for the Vintage Air controls. Test fit the bezel and Chris put the control unit in to see how it looks! Looks sweet Chris! :2thumbs

Glad to hook you up Wynne!

I was blocking some parts today while Chris was at the shop. Those areas are finished blocked now and ready for final sealer, I will get some pics up tomorrow with some wax and grease remover to show the reflection, its coming out nice. I know Chris was glad to see some parts getting finished and ready for paint.

Like everyone else has said, it loks GREAT! I'm really anxious to see this one all together and rolling.

Chris, have you test fit a bed on your chassis with the new wheels and tires yet? I'd love to see a pic of how the rear tires fit...your build has caused me to consider a few changes to my "original 68 plan"!

Sure did, Keith ! I dont have any pics to show at the moment, but i actually bought the rear wheels and tires that i wanted and then narrowed the rear end to fit the wheels. So much easier this way. I also raised the bed floor 3 inches and widened the wheel wells by 5 1/2 inches to provide plenty clearance all around.

I wish the pictures would show what i see when i stop by over at Keiths shop. Yesterday he was working out some minor imperfections that i couldnt even see or feel. He had to point them out to me, and even then i was struggling to see exactly where it was. It looked and felt perfect. Its amazing, i'm surely going to be blown away when the base/clear starts flyin' !!
