Well I'm going to get this build thread started on my truck, this is going to be the second build on it. The first build was finished 18 yrs ago when I was a senior in high school. It took about 3 years the first time hopefully not so long this time. The truck was originally green with white top, and a 250 w/ 3spd.

Looks like a pretty clean truck James, I'm glad that you are getting back on it. What are your plans for it?

Thanks Wynne. It has some rust coming out in the kick panels some I'm going to replace those. The 6 cyl / 3spd are coming out and a 350 / auto of some sort going in. I've got a 72 i picked u that the body is shot on but it has a auto/tilt column so thats going in their. And going to change the color. Also looking for a full left rear fender. Movin the tank to the back. I haven't driven it in about 6 yrs so I figured I might as well do it all over again before I start driving it.

Sure is a nice truck and it looks like all your hard work in the first rebuild is going to pay off this go around.

Yeah I'm hopin this is going to be more of a clean up and paint than the last one. The kick panels are the main thing this time.

Yeah I am sitting on the other side of the fence. I was 19 when I did a frame off on mine and did not know how(and did not have the means) to repair things properly so I am having to go back to all the bad spots and repair them again!!! But looking at the a few of the posts around here I am in good company to get the advice I need to do it right this time! :D

PB Blaster to the rescue, the bed actually wasn't bad coming off. I'm soaking the bolts and nuts on the frame and the fenders though because I figure they are going to put up a fight. Yeah Keith even taking it apart is good progress for me right now!
