North LA Meet - March 13th

Postby Scott Johnson on Mon Aug 10, 2009 10:19 pm

Todd and I, along with Keith C. (Darkhorse) are wanting to have a meet in Monroe in late Feb. or early March. I know we just got through with a meet and from what I hear, it was awesome. I thought the best way to make sure I am at the next one is to have it at my house! The date I would like to do it is sat. March 6. We haven`t worked out any details yet, just wanted to get everyones opinion if this is ok. Let me know what you think and we will start planning.

Good point Eric. The available dates for Feb. are 6th, 13th and 20th. The dates in March are the 6th or 28th. I have read where some folks would like another meet sooner. Todd had originally wanted to have one in October. I am open to a date in October as well and I`m sure Keith C. would be ok with it. Lets get as much feedback as possible and you offshore guys let me know what date the majority can make it. The sooner the better for me. I am looking foward to meeting some more of the members. I have to say that everyone I have meet so far has been TOP NOTCH and I am proud to be assocaited with the club.

I was one that mentioned having another one in between CTC and your meet Scott, BUT the more I think about it I dont know. October is CTC and most of us will be there, alot of us are staying in the same hotel for several days, so that will be like an extended meet.

Shortly after October comes Christmas which will suck up most everyones traveling/hotel money.

The more I thought about it the more I think that the February or March meets you said would be better, more people may be able to make those.

I forgot about CTC, so it looks like Feb. or March will be it. I was trying to have one before the Pate Swap meet in April, because I know alot of members attend that event. We have plenty of time to set a date, and I want to have as many come as we can, so ya`ll let me know which date works best for you.

Hey that's only a 30 minute drive for me, so I'm there whenever it happens. I agree that Oct is too close to CTC. November would be ok, but I think you would get a better turnout in Feb-March, because people will be ready to get out and do something with their trucks after being cooped up all winter with no shows, etc.

As an Eagle Scout and a fan of scouting in general, I would love to do that! Count me in!

Eric & Mike Prothro, you 2 are the ones with a set schedule. Will both of you be in town on either the 6th or 13th of March?

I am definately in for that! I will have the blazer finished and painted by then. We need to try to do something like this at every meet.

That sounds like a good cause to me. Of course, Downsville is even smaller than Choudrant, so it probably won't be a big show, but I know they would appreciate us being there. I'm in.
