Chris and I thought we should add another aftermarket parts supplier to the list. :2thumbs

Watson's StreetWorks, Rod and Custom Products.

Chris bought their 15 1/4" Hot Slots, flush mount LED 3rd brake light to mount in the cab of his truck above the rear glass.

Very high quality peice! The kit is extremely well made, easy to install with very good instructions and is a awesome price too. I was impressed with how nice their kit was. Chris let me borrow his catalog and they have TONS of really cool billet stuff, electrical parts, wiring kits. All kinds of cool specialty stuff with great prices too. I will be buying ALOT of their parts for the 49!

I will let Chris fill ya'll in on how good their service is since he has talked to and bought from them.

I was reading about the owners, Steve and Carol Watson and their background before they started the street rod parts company. Theres no wonder why their parts are such high quality and precision fit!

They are both Engineers that worked for a company that manufacters nuclear reactors for the U.S Navy, She was a Senior Process Engineer in charge of the processing of the nuclear reactor clusters. He was a Senior Engineering Specialist for the same company and also worked for the Thermos Company in research and development. He was the guy that designed the Flip 'n' Pour stopper for Thermos! They also claim to be the original designer of the current style of bear claw latches.

I though I should chime in and say that the parts that I got from Mike's Bump & Grind were all Key Parts. I haven't put them on yet, but according to Keith's first post, they should fit good.

The ones Chris got fit and look awesome Steven, real nice. Theres just one little place on the front recess around the headlight that will need a tiny bit of work.

I did find alittle information about the Key/Tri Plus parts. I had read somewhere online that Goodmark was the exact same as Key parts and found that odd since I had used both and there were VERY clear differences in quality between the two.

From what I can see by searching is that Key/Tri Plus is the manufacturer that actually that makes the parts. Other resellers like Goodmark "can" purchase these parts and relable them under another name.

Goodmark does not make anything, never has and have no ties to any of them, they only buy and resell. There are times that people have gotten the good fitting Key parts resold under the Goodmark name, but not all the time. NONE of the Goodmark parts I have ever gotten had the Key / Tri Plus logos on the box and they were all horrible fitting parts. Seems they buy in bulk from every parts manufacturer out there, I suspect whoever is cheapest at that time  . I suspect that is why a few people are happy with Goodmark, they received Key parts that particular time.

So, to be safe and know that I am getting the better fitting Key / Tri-Plus parts all the time, I will buy from someone that sells only the Key parts brand, not from a middle man like Goodmark that you may or may not know what you are getting at the time of purchase.

Very good post there Keith makes good sence now....because you hear about people talking about how goodmark is and how well the parts are but i have a set of fenders from them that fit like crap in the front but i was looking today i may put them back on and mark which way they need to move and cut all the tack welds in from and see if i can make them work...there is plenty of room....If i get them back on in the next day or so i will try and take pics to show where the problem lies.....

"ive gotten all my body parts thru Tim Christiam. I think my front fender and the core support were from Tr--Plus. My tailgate is from CounterPart. The fender and core support seemed to be as good as any I have messed with in the past. The tailgate Is a hair off, but nothing terrible. Sometimes I wish they would still make them with the letters, even though I am going to cover them up witha tailgate band.
