HuggerCST's '68 Chevy

It will probably be a while before I can get started on this thing, but I decided to go ahead and start a build thread for it. I traded my 85 gmc for it. Glock35ipsc (Bob) in Colorado, started the restoration a few years ago, spent a ton of money on it, and did some awesome work on it, but lost interest when it came time for bodywork. The entire body is new aftermarket except the hood, cowl, and cab. It needs a few things to finish it, like paint, a front bumper, transmission, carpet, bedwood,(Bowtie468 is hooking me up, thanks Chris!) bed strips, and a few small items, but almost everything else is there and either new, or rebuilt. I kinda like the LED 3rd brake light, so it will stay.

I like the stance, but it is a little high in the front. It has stock front springs with 2.5 drop spindles, and 3 inch drop rear springs with 1.5 lowering blocks. The column is a rebuilt van column. The steering wheel is new, but I think I'll go with something custom. This one will go on the blazer for now. The tailgate is new, but it's smooth without the letters. I may have to change that.

He did a great job on the frame & suspension. Mufflers are summit turbos. I don't like the bells though.

I know that Bob put a lot of work into this dash, but unfortunately it's not growing on me. I'll probably go with a stock dash with some billet touches.

It's gonna be sweet when it's done! I'm with you on all of the ideas that you have. The dash would have to go! Thanks for the inspirational pic. It sure gets my blood pumpin'!

Yeah Wynne, it is going to be a sweet ride! Very well done. I love those wheels, looks perfect on the truck.

I like the inspirational pics too. I am not a big fan of red but to me, that red truck is one of the cleanest trucks I have ever seen and has been one of my favorites since the first time I saw it.

Both of those colors are perfect for that body style!

It's going to be nice watching this grow. Can't wait to see it at Cruising.

I agree, that red truck is just awesome, and I love red. My only problem is that my seat is blue. If I can find a red or black seat that I can afford I may go with red.
