Thanks not sure what I am going to do now... I just want to drive it again. It has been sitting for more than 10 years. It started out as my dads old LWB 69 that I converted with a SWB 68 truck.
I bought the 68 when I was a freshman in high school. I bought it for $65 saving $1 of my lunch money everyday to buy it.

I started out doing a rattle can rebuild!!!
The motor is a 307 that was in my dads 69 truck. It wasn't long before I swapped it out for a 350 and an automatic trans. if you notice in the newer pics I linked from 67-72 site I still have my dads Valve covers!!! Some things you just cant get rid of!!!

That is what I want to do!!! Just need some tires that hold air!!! (And fix some other stuff of course)
It is running pretty good right now I spent 3hrs rebuilding the carb a few weeks ago. It is amazing what 10+ years will do.
The gas tank was shot... I put a luv truck gas tank under the bed. So I need to get another tank. I doubt I will find another luv truck tank so I am open for discussion!!!

I have the tank out of my 85 Jimmy. I am going to have to buy a new one for an in tank fuel pump, so you can have it if you want it. It has alitte pitting but had some old gas in it so its not leaking.

Thanks Outlawc I guess you would know if that tank will fit in the frame or not. looking at a few of your treads it is safe to say you can make anything fit anywere... do you think i will have any snags?

 I try!

It should fit in the frame rails fine but I can measure it to be 100% positive. You will have to make some cross braces to hang it from and some tank straps since I need to keep those. The fill on that tank is in the rear of the tank and exits to the pass side. You will need to route your fill to that side or you can have the fill cap in the bed floor.

Found some more old pics... check out my dads old motor I cleaned up with a 2 barrel!!!
The second one is the 307 with a Holley and headers... that second hand carb schooled me very well in the ways of old Holley carbs!!!

It it is kind of confusing the most current is from the 67-72 board then I backtrack. The rest are actually older pics. The truck is actually in pretty bad shape from sitting for so long. When I was in high school it was gray primer after high school I painted it red then it got wrecked. I should have never painted it!!!
