Very nice! That makes me want a powdercoating setup. What kind do you have Scott? I got a new eastwood catolog and they have one on the cover that looks pretty good, but I know nothing about them.

Thanks guys. I haven`t really decided yet what color to paint the truck, few ideas but nothing has really hit me yet. Wynne the powder coater I have is Chicago Electric, probably one of the cheaper ones around. I have had it for about 5 years now and it works great for me. I think quality powder makes the difference, I get mine from Columbia Coatings. They have a nice powder system called a Hyper Smooth Pony that looks really good. I think the one from Eastwood is good as well.

Are you going to be power coating the TBI stuff? Or polishing it? I cant wait to see the drive train put together and mounted in the frame!!!

You did that yourself? Looks perfect! Scott, yours looks better than the "pro" powdercoating jobs I have seen. Everyone I have seen are always real orange peeled looking, yours came out slick!

Considering how ruff the casting is underneath the finish it is extreamly slick!!!

The tuned port will be coated as well. I am going to try a black chrome finish on it. Hopefully the drivetrain will be all together within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Keith, I was quoted $100 to coat the trans. case, so I made me an extension on my oven and did it myself. The powder coater has saved me tons of money and really does a great job.

A good friend of mine messed around with powdercoating for a while... he showed me some black crome stuff he did. Can't wait to see it!!!
