Don't get rid of them, Keith. I'll eventually need some for the Blazer. Are you not running bumpers on your truck, or are they extras?

They are the ones that were on the front end I cut off. I was planning on putting a roll pan on the front and rear but if I dont I have another 68 with a set of brackets.

I finally had a weekend with nothing planned, so I was going to actually get something done for once. Then it decided to rain all weekend. Man, I need a shop.

In short, NO.

I know the feeling Steven. Katrina decided to play hide and seek with a big peice of my roof and you know where my truck is, right under the "skylight". A new shop at my house is in planning right now. After my truck is driving thats where my money is going to get it done this year.

Hey, wont be long my chassis will be done so there will be an empty space and a T/A out here with your name on it!

Steven, I found a picture of your truck with the fleet bed on it that is a perfect side profile of our year trucks. I am working on some different ideas of things I am considering doing and want to use that picture as the line drawing, is that alright with you?

Re: smbrouss70's SWB Truck

Postby smbrouss70 on Mon Sep 28, 2009 9:45 pm

Wow, this has fallen way down the list of threads... probably because I haven't done anything, huh?

Oscar's truck will be at CTC just as ugly as ever, but I will be loving it. Today at work, one of my buddies and I were talking about what it would take to finish my truck, which is basically rust repair, body work and paint. Well he proceeded to make a bet that I wouldn't have it finished before CTC of 2010. He also wants the Camaro chassis that I got from Keith's 68 project along with Wheels and Interior done in order to call it complete. Once we get back from CTC this year, I'm diving in head first. Hopefully if I need a little help along the way, I can call on some of you guys... Right?

I just finished enclosing my carport, I have a new welder, I'm ordering a compressor soon, and I've told Brandi that no matter what I'm not losing this bet. So I guess I have no more excuses, huh?

Oh just so that ya'll know, the wager isn't going to be money. We're still trying to decide what it will be, but we both agree that the loser will have to do something embarassing. Wish me luck!
